VA Connect started in 2008 and was called Lime Tree Consulting back then. We rebranded to VA Connect when we became a Managed Virtual Assistant business in 2014.
We now empower many entrepreneurs and business owners across the globe to grow and scale their business without growing their HR headaches. Having grown to more than 25 team members with fantastic systems and processes to make it easier for you, we are ready when you are.

Founder Story

Karen founded many successful companies and this gave her great insight into what is really needed for business to grow and entrepreneurs to succeed and be more powerful.

She managed to make Virtual Assistance a real opportunity for South Africans with fantastic skills and work ethic wishing to start a remote working career.

She further managed to establish those same characteristics of the South African workforce as an alternative to the global need for these type of services.

Her passion for “systems and processes that work” and her absolute love for Sales and Marketing combined with the work ethic of a well trained Captain helped her to create VA Connect and form it to a global powerhouse and Africa’s largest managed Virtual Assistant Agency.

She further established VAVarsity, a free Udemy-like platform for all our Virtual Assistants to further up-skill themselves in various aspects of becoming that perfect Virtual Assistant for you.

Karen has run many business up-skill courses and workshops and has appeared on stage and SA television on a regular basis to advise and panel various Virtual Assistant and Remote Working opportunities.
